Certificates / Foundation / Diploma

Completion of Australian Year 11 or equivalent (example: Korean High school graduation certificate)

Bachelor degrees

Australian Year 12 or equivalent:
A recognised pre-tertiary level qualification or
Foundation Studies or
One year study at a recognised tertiary or higher education institute

Special Entry

  1. Prior senior secondary study in a specific subject area, e.g. Maths, Chemistry and Physics may also be needed for some degrees.
  2. Portfolio, Audition or Interview – these options may be required for admission to some degree programs. For further assistance in procedures for each course at universities, please contact us on melb_admin@iaeeduent.com

Master Degree

- Research

If you wish to apply for a master program by research, you must hold or be eligible to hold, from an approved higher education institution and in an appropriate discipline, an award assessed by the university as being equivalent to:

  1. An honours degree or bachelor degree with honours or
  2. A bachelor degree and a preliminary course of study of honours standard or
  3. An appropriate master degree or
  4. Other acceptable qualifications and demonstrated abilities to undertake advanced work on the basis of previous higher education studies and professional experiences or published research works.
  5. A number of programs also specify relevant practical or professional experiences required for entry.

- Course Work

Master degrees by coursework are offered in a range of disciplines normally extending over one to two years of full-time study. Master degrees by coursework involve a significant research projects or thesis normally equivalent to no more than 50 percents of the program.

  1. A bachelor degree and a preliminary course or
  2. An appropriate master degree
  3. A number of programs also specify relevant practical or professional experiences required for entry.

Doctoral degrees

- Research

If you wish to apply for a Doctor of Philosophy or Research Professional Doctorate, you must satisfy the Research Degrees Committee of your competence to undertake a higher degree by research by holding, or being eligible to hold, from an approved higher education institution, an award which is assessed by the university as being equivalent to:

  1. An honours degree or a bachelor degree with honours of at least 2A standard or
  2. An appropriate master degree or
  3. Such other qualifications acceptable to the Research Degrees Committee. In such cases, you must satisfy the committee of your fitness to undertake advanced work on the basis of achievement in, and relevance of, your previous higher education studies, professional experience or published research work. For the professional doctorate program, there will be normally an additional requirement of five years’ practice in your field and normally within the last ten years.

  • Application fee – Check the application fees of each institute
  • Certified copy of passport with photo page
  • High school graduation certificate
  • High school academic transcripts
  • A diploma or associated diploma graduate certificate and transcript
  • English result (IELTS/TOEFL) – Check English entry requirement

If an applicant is holding a valid visa to stay in Australia, the following additional documents are required:

  • Copy of current Australian visa
  • Current eCoEs/Offer letters – if any
  • Academic transcripts and Graduate certificates undertaken up to present

** Even if you have not completed your studies, all students are still required to provide up-to-date academic transcripts.

Master – Course work

  • Completed application form
  • Application fee – Check the application fees of each institute
  • Certified copy of passport with photo page
  • Graduation certificate of Bachelor degree
  • Academic transcripts of the Bachelor degree
  • English result (IELTS/TOEFL) – Check English entry requirement
  • Evidences of relevant work experiences (depends on the courses. Please check course entry requirements)

  • Recommendation Letters from Referees (at least 2)

Application Procedures

Step 1: Select your course:

Find out a course will help you to develop your career you desire – iae Edu Net Melbourne will help you to find out the right course and the right education institute that suits you.

Step 2: Process your application with Education Planners at iae Edu Net Melboure

Once you completed your research on the courses and universities, you need to complete application forms (Some universities may charge an application fee to process your application upon the application lodgement). The Universities you chose to apply will screen your application form and supporting documents. If you meet the entry requirements, they will issue a Letter of Offer.

Step 3: Further process

1. Receive a Letter of Offer: The universities will assess your application and supporting documents then will announce you whether your application is successful. If it’s successful, they will issue an Offer of Letter
2. Accepting the offer: If there are no conditions* to your offer letter, you may accept the offer immediately. Otherwise, you need to meet the conditions specified on your offer letter before you can accept the offer of enrolment.

* Examples of conditions are:

  • English entry requirement
  • Insufficient documents

3. Pay first tuition fee: Submit a signed acceptation form and additional documents required and pay the specified deposit/tuition fee required
(usually the first semester’s tuition fee + Overseas Student Health Cover)
